Do you know that the best way to explore some of Albania’s hidden treasures is by SUP?
Stand up paddling (SUP) is a great sport activity that is becoming increasingly popular. It complements wind based sports on non-windy days and is particularly great for beginners. SUP is a superior core workout on flat water. It is an ideal sport for cross-training as it brings together legs, back, feet, arms, neck and stomach muscles in a graceful display of core strength and balance. This can be a great sport for mix-training as you will see that you apply the muscles inside your legs, arms, back, abdomen as well as your feet. Along with paddling you’ll use lot of different body simply balance around the board, which provides you more exercise.
With the stand up paddle riders could choose any of our tours designed for all levels, from beginners to experts. With a SUP guests could enjoy the remarkable view of the Velipoje area coastline, steering away from the crowded summer beach and explore natural beauties otherwise inaccessible by land. Our guests prefer to paddle from our spot to the Vilun lagoon (40 minutes ride) and explore the lagoon; or paddle northwest up to the border with Montenegro (50 minutes from our spot); tour the Velipoje coastline, visit Rana Hedhun, or ride through the nearby Buna river and explore the beauties of the Shkodra lake by SUP.
In addition to the various SUP exploration packages shown below, we offer tailored SUP tours across Albania – Farka and Bovilla lakes in Tirana, Karavasta lagoon, Narta lagoon, Butrin channel and lake, Sazan Island in Vlora, Shurdhah Island in Vau Dejes or Maligrad Island in Prespa lake. Contact us if you want to participate in one of these tours.
We also combine SUP activities with yoga workshops through the SUP Yoga sessions as a remarkable experience for both SUP and Yoga fans.
